Episode 12: Gojira VERSUS Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

Today we have an episode that we've been building up to since the very beginning. We finally talk in-depth about the original Godzilla film that spawned one of the longest running film series of al time. Not content to treat it like any other film, we decided to make this a VERSUS episode and pit the American and Japanese versions against each other in a fight to the death. 

The rules are simple:

1. Comment under this article AFTER listening to our arguments to vote for the winner of this VERSUS match. You can only vote once and if you don't write briefly about why you support your pick, your vote will unfortunately not be counted.
2. No fighting in the comments or name calling. Support your claim and don't call anyone else out on their opinion.

Never before have two titans met with this much on the line. Coleman and Kyle pit the two infamous versions of the original Godzilla film against each other and only you can decide who wins!

Episode 10: King Kong (1976)

I have been waiting so long to do this episode, and while many of you will scoff at this being our podcast's first introduction to Kong, I think it's a great way to kick things off. Jeff Bridges chasing after Jessica Lange in the jungles of Hawaii holds a special place in my heart, and I hope we can sway those of you who have never really given it a second, or even first, look.

The episode starts out with us thanking all of you who were gracious enough to leave us a review on iTunes. After that, we jump into the current news which includes a huge plot point for the upcoming 'Godzilla Resurgence.' That's when we move into our main topic of the night, discussing the 1976 CLASSIC 'King Kong.'

Episode 09: Daikaiju Gamera

This is an important episode for our little podcast, as we're now starting to delve into the iconic monsters that rule over the fandom. Gamera is one of the "big three" in my eyes, and having not seen many of his films, it was incredibly exciting to dive into the first one early in the podcast's lifecycle. 'Daikaiju Gamera' may not be the best film in the series, but it's incredibly interesting to see the aspects of his future status come alive for the first time in this film. Plus, TOSHIO!!!

We also get into some rather minor, but exciting, news about the technological updates to some daikaiju classics that are finally coming to fruition. We've also decided to address some recent concerns about our handling of rumors in the news section of the site and why we're unwilling to bend to the will of some of the largest names in Godzilla fandom about it. All of that, plus our main topic of the night makes for an episode we really enjoyed recording.
